Franchisee Profile - Patricia & Danae
For Women’s History Month, we are continuing to highlight some of the strong women that make up the Burger King family. That’s why we are excited to feature a female Franchisee pair -- Patricia and Danae!
Patricia and Danae met when they were 13 years old and have been best friends ever since. At age 16, they began their Burger King journey starting as Team Members eventually becoming Restaurant General Managers (RGMs). As RGMs, Patricia and Danae knew they had a passion and talent for running great restaurants. So, when their current Franchisee offered to sell his restaurants, they knew this was their opportunity to own a Burger King restaurant. While they didn’t know what the future held, they knew that they would figure it out together! “We wanted to run our own restaurants because we were best friends and thought – if we could work and do it together, then we could make something great.”
Today, Patricia and Danae have been partner Franchisees of two stores in Moses Lake for 27 years. They pride themselves as being hands-on bosses, working four days a week in restaurant. If it’s rush hour and help is needed in the kitchen, they are ready to throw on a pair of gloves and make a Whopper. Patricia and Danae’s relationship with their Team Members is one of their favorite parts about their job. They are focused on developing and growing Team Members through training, celebrating their success and tenure. Recently, they had a recognition ceremony for their restaurant teams with flowers, bonuses, and appreciation posts on social media and in-store.
As female Franchisees, they are excited to be recognized and serve as role models for their daughters, granddaughters, and any aspiring female businesswoman. Patricia and Danae take a lot of pride in the exceptional quality of their restaurants and are always living a “relentless pursuit of better” mindset. Running Burger King restaurants for them is a source of family, friendship, and accomplishment.
